What To Expect
Prior to your first treatment, our therapist will provide a thorough consultation to ensure you are suitable for the HydraFacial. Here you may discuss any concerns you have with your skin and we will be sure to answer any questions you may have.
The HydraFacial treatment involves our therapist using a machine that connects to a wand with a special patented vortex tip that glides over your face to complete the different phases of the process. The medical-geade, hydradermbraion device cleanses, exfoliates and infuses the skin with intensive customised serums. At the end of your treatment you will be able to see what the HydraFacial has sucked out of your skin which is (surprisingly) exciting!.
After treatment, there is no downtime. You may experience some slight pinkness post-treatment which will settle within a few hours, however you will notice an immediate glow and softens to the skin that you have likely never had before.
What To Know Before Your Treatment
Things to avoid before your HydraFacial:
Avoid tanning and prolonged sun exposure for at least 72 hours prior to your HydraFacial.
Do not have any anti-wrinkle treatments for at least two weeks before treatment. Please note: You can have anti-wrinkle done on the same day as your HydraFacialacial AFTER the facial, not before.
Do not wax or use depilatories for at least 48 hours before your treatment.
Do not shave treating area on the same day as the facial treatment.
Avoid using Isotretinoin products such as Accutane for 6 months prior.
Discontinue the use of generic tretinoin or topical Retin-A for at least 48 hours prior.
Do not use any exfoliating treatments, like glycolic acid or enzymes, on the area that is going to be treated for at least 48 hours prior.
Stop using any chemical peels or chemical resurfacing treatments and laser treatments for at least two weeks before.
Advise your therapist if you:
Are taking topical antibiotics for acne (will need to cease prior to treatment)
Have active sunburn, solar keratosis or tan
Are taking arrhythmia medications (will need to cease prior to treatment)
Have an auto-immune disorder
Are taking blood thinners (aspirin, Warfarin, ibuprofen, fish oils, ginkgo biloba and alcohol), photosensitisers, and/or antidepressants (consult with client’s general practitioner prior to treatment)
Have received cosmetic injectable treatments in the past 14 days or electrolysis in the past week
